Names of the pupils provided by Rebbetzin Lagnado and Jack Traut. Jack grew up and went to school in Maitland, and later worked at the abattoirs in Maitland for some 40 years.
This picture shows the synagogue building nearing completion. Note the unfinished light pillar and the absence of the foundation stone. It is possible that it was at this gathering that the scroll written by Rev Kaufman was hidden in the wall space (1954).
